COACHES' REQUIREMENTS
USA Softball registered coaches.
(USA completes and certifies all registered coaches annually with background checks).

PCA (Postive Coaching Alliance) certified. All coaches are required to be certified by attending the PCA Workshop, which is based on three principles:
1. Honor the game.
2. Fill Emotional Tanks.
3. Redefine "Winning."
Supporting research is presented from experts in coaching, education and sports psychology.

ACE (Achieve, Certify, Educate) certified. ACE ensures that youth coaches have basic training, softball skills and knowledge to benefit young athletes and improve relations with parents and umpires. Coaches are educated and confident in their abilities. They must also sign a "Code of Ethics" pledge.

East Honolulu Girls Softball
(EHGS)
We are a non-profit sports organization. The mission of East Honolulu Girls Softball (EHGS) Club is to organize, encourage and educate individuals and organizations, as well as financially support the development of girls fastpitch softball in the East Honolulu area of the City and County of Honolulu. Interested players from other areas of Honolulu will not be excluded from participating in the EHGS Club.
​ We are part of USA Softball (USAS/formally known as ASA Softball) & Hawaii Babe Ruth Softball an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization.
USA Softball is the National Governing Body of softball in the United States. They develop, administer and promote the sport of softball to provide opportunities for participation and the best possible experience for those involved.
